Hayley Hanson Hide has won the regional final of one of the countryside’s most prestigious awards. At a ceremony held at the Pierhead in Cardiff on 1 February 2017, Hayley Hanson Hide won the final of the 2016 Countryside Alliance Rural Oscars for Wales, in the Farm Enterprise category. Hayley now moves forward to the British finals which will be held at the House of Lords, in London, on Wednesday 22 March 2017.

The Awards are the Countryside Alliance’s annual celebration of rural produce, skills, enterprise and heritage through small hard-working businesses. They are now in their twelfth year and have become the definitive rural business award to win. This year they received over 7,500 nominations, meaning the regional winners truly are the best of the best. The Awards are public-nomination led across five categories: local food & drink; village shop/post office; tourism enterprise; farm enterprise; and butcher.
